Step-down Fence in Steilacoom

Panoramic Playground for Prize-Winning Poodles

The owner of this Steilacoom property wanted to replace his aging, worn fence with a new one, but wanted to give his prize-winning poodles a better view of goings-on in the neighborhood without the risk of them jumping out. We built him this "step-down" fence, which keeps the top of the fence level while the bottom conforms to the slope of the hill. This allows the pups to enjoy the view while keeping them safe and secure.

A step-down fence is an alternative method of building a fence on a hilly property. It is a more time-consuming and expensive process because each individual fence board has to be cut to a unique length to match the grade of the hill, and each fence post has to be cut to match the level tops of the boards. The end result is a more refined, even appearance than fence with equal height boards.

Whether you're looking for a simple straight-cut fence design on a budget, or a complex, step-down fence like this one, AJB Services will build the best fence for your needs and budget. Regardless of which style you choose, you can rely on us to build you a sturdy fence that will last for many years. Contact us today for a free estimate.
