In the case of this Steilacoom property, the homeowner wanted to create some privacy for the backyard of their corner lot and also wanted a design that fit well into their upscale neighborhood.

AJB created this step-down, panel fence to meet their needs. Rather than cut each board individually to match the slope of the run, a step-down fence uses uniform-sized sections that drop down in even steps to create a more uniform look. To add character we also installed matching latticework on each panel and post caps. We've installed a number of step-down fences like this one in the Steilacoom area. They fit well with the hilly landscape and stand up well to the salty air and wet winter weather.
