Evergreen Valley Farm Fence
Farm fences, like this one in Evergreen Valley, are more economical than a full wood fence but more permanent and attractive than barbed wire.
AJB builds fences for rural properties too!
The most common fences we build are for residential properties and develop, including security fences, good neighbor fences and chain link fences. However, AJB Landscaping & Fence does build fences for other types of customers, such as commercial properties, and in this case in the Evergreen Valley, a rural estate.
This fairly simple style of fence is called a farm fence. It's designed specficially to keep domesticated animals, such as livestock and horses, secure within a property so they don't wander off. They establish a more permanent boundary and are also more attractive than a barbed wire fence, while still being relatively inexpensive to build. A wooden farm fence is also preferred for horse corrals, since it's sturdier than barbed wire and less likely to cause injury to the animal.
The most basic type of farm fence is simply horizontal boards secured to posts. To make the fence permanent, the post holes are filled with cement, just like a residential wood fence. Optionally, the fence can be lined with chicken wire or other wire fencing material to provide a stronger deterant smaller livestock, such a goats and sheep, or smaller animals like chickens.
